Prevent Gun Violence by Closing the Gun Show Loophole

Currently, 4 out of every 10 guns are sold by unlicensed sellers with no background checks conducted at all. Background checks can prohibit those who should not have access to guns and provide further safety to communities throughout the country in order to stop more useless tragedies.

The Brady Law requires criminal background checks of gun buyers at licensed dealers, but there is a loophole at gun shows. Those meant to be prohibited such as domestic violent abusers and those seriously mentally ill can walk into any gun show and buy weapons from unlicensed sellers without being stopped and without questions being asked. The motto, "No background checks, no gun, no excuses," should be enforced.
