Imagine No Malaria - Support Global Health Initiative

No single organization will overcome malaria working alone. We all must stand together to fight this disease. Fortunately, the U.S. government has a tradition of providing critical support to vulneralbe communities as they struggle to fight life-threatening diseases like malaria. This issue has been supported by both Democrats and Republicans in the past, a trend we hope will continue. But, these life saving funds for global health programs are at risk every year. Now is the time to show our appreciation for past action and urge support for the continuation of these funds in next year's 2013 U.S. budget. Please join us in encouraging elected officipans to support continued Global Health funding. The United Mehtodist Church is rasing millions of dollars through our Imagine No Malaria campaign - donations that allow us to creat health programs through which lives are being saved every day. Still, every 45 seconds a chid dies from malaria, a totally preventable, treatable disease. Without continued U.S. governrment support, families in Africa face a greave future - decades of hard work and progress could be undone. Because when it comes to saving live, everyone has a part to play.
