Resource on faith values and health-care reform
Health care reform essay

CLEVELAND — “How Legislative Proposals Measure Up to A Faith-Inspired Vision of Health Care” was released Sept. 4 by Faithful Reform in Health Care. The essay is the first of a series to will help people of faith consider health-care reform proposals through the lens of faith values and the measure of justice.

The next essay, to be released Sept. 8, will focus on the public health insurance option, said the Rev. Linda Hanna Walling, executive director of Faithful Reform in Health Care, which claims to be the largest interfaith coalition of national, state and local organizations working together on health-care reform.

Walling said these essays are being circulated within the faith community and among members of Congress and the administration to help reclaim a moral center for the nation’s deliberation on health care.

The essay is available online at How Legislative Proposals Measure Up. For more Information, visit Faithful Reform.
